TACT presents world premiere of Three Wise Guys
TACT (The Actors Company Theatre) presents the world premiere of Three Wise Guys, a new comedy created especially for TACT by Scott Alan Evans & Jeffrey Couchman, based on Short Stories by Damon Runyon.
Directed by Scott Alan Evans, the limited engagement will play Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre from February 27 through to April 14, 2018, with an official opening set for March 11.
Founding Executive Artistic Director Scott Alan Evans commented:
"Our very first production at Theatre Row, many years ago now, was a work created especially for our company, so we are particularly excited to be returning to that model this year with Three Wise Guys - which will feature the company in some very transformative ways."
Synopsis: "It's Christmas Eve 1932. Three New York guys, each preoccupied with his own particular problems and not especially fond of the season, find themselves in Good Time Charley's speakeasy. As the bootleg liquor flows, the guys agree to band together and take to the road to avoid the holiday hubbub. Besides a notorious racketeer is after them and they better get out of town! Over one long life-changing night, they make some big decisions while inadvertently spreading good cheer to one and all."
Casting and creative team information for Three Wise Guys will be announced at a later date.
