Spring Shorts 2: Eight short plays at the Turtles Shell Theater
3Graces present Spring Shorts 2, a collection of funny and thought-provoking plays from the playwrights Andrew Biss, Rich Espey, C.S. Hanson, Barbara Lindsay, Craig Pospisil, Robin Rice Lichtig, Lia Romeo, and Steve Wisniewski, at the Turtles Shell Theater from 3 - 13 Apr 2008.
3Graces produced the first Spring Shorts in May 2006. After four playwrights from that production were chosen by publishers Smith & Kraus for inclusion in its Best of series and a fifth was a Critics' Choice Winner in the 32nd Annual Samuel French Short Play Festival, over 300 playwrights from across the country submitted their work for inclusion in Spring Shorts 2.
Says producer and Co-Artistic Director Annie McGovern, "Ultimately, what drew us to these eight shorts is that each of them ask, 'What do we value and what price are we willing to pay?' We know 3Graces' audiences will laugh and sit on the edges of their seats in suspense, but we also hope they will be reexamining their convictions long after the evening is over."
