The current off-Broadway engagement of Bess Wohl's play Small Mouth Sounds has announced a 2-week extension at The Pershing Square Signature Center's Romulus Linney Courtyard.

Previews began on 3 July 2016, before an official opening on 13 July and a limited run originally scheduled through to 25 September 2016. It will now play its final performance on 9 October 2016. Synopsis: "In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six runaways from city life embark on a silent retreat. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect. Filled with awkward humor, this strange and compassionate new play asks how we address life's biggest questions when words fail us."

Directed by Rachel Chavkin, the cast of Small Mouth Sounds includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Zoë Winters, Max Baker, Marcia DeBonis, Jojo Gonzalez, Brad Heberlee and Babak Tafti.

The creative team features scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Mike Inwood, sound design by Stowe Nelson, projection design by Andrew Schneider and prop design by Noah Mease.

Small Mouth Sounds is produced off-Broadway by Eva Price, Stacey Mindich, Betsy Bernstein, Ars Nova, Catherine Adler/Sean Hudock, Burnt Umber Productions, Amanda Dubois, Rebecca Gold, Sally Horchow, Iris Smith, Craig Balsam/Kurt Deutsch, and Eric Cornell/Jenna Segal.
