Small Engine Repair: Christopher Fitzgerald joins cast

Two-time Tony Award-nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow, Young Frankenstein) has been cast in MCC Theater's New York premiere of John Pollono's dark comedy Small Engine Repair, directed by Jo Bonney (Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig), playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from 16 May - 23 Jun 2013.

Fitzgerald joins the previously announced Jon Bernthal (AMC's "The Walking Dead") and John Pollono.

Small Engine Repair: Frank, Swaino and Packie - buddies since high school, now past their prime - meet off-hours in Frank's out-of-the-way repair shop under cloudy circumstances that only Frank has a handle on. Enter Chad, a plugged-in preppy college jock, whose arrival ignites an explosion of long-simmering resentment and rage.

The play won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting when it had its world premiere in 2011 at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre.

Small Engine Repair will be the third and final production of MCC's 2012-13 three-play mainstage season. As previously announced, the season will begin with: Don't Go Gentle, by Stephen Belber, directed by Lucie Tiberghien (27 Sep - 4 Nov 2012) and Really Really, by Paul Downs Colaizzo, directed by David Cromer (31 Jan - 10 Mar 2013).
