Signature Theatre's John extends to 6 Sep 2015
Signature Theatre has announced that the world premiere production of John, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Baker and directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold, has added a one week extension to its limited run. Performances begin today at the Pershing Square Signature Center's Irene Diamond Stage on 22 July, with an official opening scheduled for 11 August, and the last performance now scheduled for 6 September 2015. It was previously running through to 30 August 2015.
Synopsis: "The week after Thanksgiving. A Bed & Breakfast in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. A cheerful innkeeper. A young couple struggling to stay together. Thousands of inanimate objects, watching."
The cast of John includes Christopher Abbott (Elias), Hong Chau (Jenny), Georgia Engel (Mertis), and Lois Smith (Genevieve).
The creative team features scenic design by Mimi Lien, costume design by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting design by Mark Barton, and sound design by Bray Poor.
