Shining City: tickets now on sale to the 16 Jul


The Broadway drama Shining City, by Conor McPherson and produced by the Manhattan Theatre Club, is now selling tickets to the 16 Jul 2006, the tickets had only been on sale to the 2 Jul 2006.

The play is scheduled to close on the 16 Jul 2006.

The drama opened at the Biltmore Theatre on the 9 May 2006, following previews from the 20 Apr, to mostly good notices from the press. "Quiet, haunting and absolutely glorious new play." wrote the New York Times and The Jornal News printed "Everything is right about 'Shining City,' Conor McPherson's fantastic new play."

Shining City: Focuses on a guilt-ridden man who visits a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. What starts out as an everyday exchange becomes a gripping struggle to survive � a struggle that will change both men for the rest of their lives.

The cast for Shining City, directed by Robert Falls, features Oliver Platt (John), Br�an F. O�Byrne (Ian), Martha Plimpton (Neasa) and Peter Scanavino (Laurence).

The productions has set design by Santo Loquasto, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Christopher Akerlind, and sound by Obadiah Eaves.
