Ryan Molloy makes Broadway debut in Jersey Boys

London actor Ryan Molloy will make his Broadway debut in long-running musical Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theatre. He will star as Frankie Valli, the role he created in the London production, from 29 July 2014 through Sunday, 19 October 2014.

Molloy earned an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical after creating the role of Frankie Valli in the original London Production which opened at the Prince Edward Theatre on 18 March 2008, following previews from 18 Feb 2008. He is currently appearing in 'Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be' at Theatre Royal Stratford East. Other theatre credits include 'The Pickled Cerebrum' (Playhouse, LA); 'Macbeth' (Workhouse, London); 'Betrayal' and 'The Merchant of Venice' (Workhouse, London). His musical credits include 'Taboo' (The Venue, London), the NT production of 'Jerry Springer: The Opera' (Cambridge Theatre).

He will join the current Broadway company which includes Richard H. Blake (Tommy DeVito), Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), and Drew Gehling (Bob Gaudio).

Jersey Boys opened on Broadway on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The show has been seen by over 20 million people worldwide and is currently playing in New York, Las Vegas, London, and in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour and The Netherlands. It is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.
