Revival, starring Trent Dawson at the Lion Theatre

Project Y Theatre presents Samuel Brett Williams's Revival, starring Trent Dawson (multiple Daytime Emmy-nominated for his role as Henry Coleman on "As the World Turns") and directed by Michole Biancosino, opening at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre on 14 Sep 2010, following previews from 9 Sep, and running through to 25 Sep 2010.

Revival: A Harvard educated son of a Southern Baptist preacher returns to his Arkansas hometown to rebuild his father's congregation. Under pressure to grow the congregation to compete with neighboring mega-Churches, the young Pastor seizes an opportunity to cleanse a mysterious stranger of his homosexuality, becoming an overnight evangelical superstar. But at what cost?

Samuel Brett Williams's new play is an insider's look at the making of a mega-Church machine from grassroots beginnings. Revival asks just how far are you willing to go for the things you believe?

Starring alongside Trent Dawson are David Darrow, Raymond McAnally and Aidan Sullivan.

The design team includes sets by Kevin Judge, costumes by Emily Pepper, lighting by Ben Hagen and sound by Amit Prakash.
