Newsical: Cheri Oteri extends run to 13 Jan 2013
"Saturday Night Live" alumni Cheri Oteri extends her limited run in the revue Newsical the Musical. Oteri joined the cast on 03 Dec 2012 for a limited four week engagemnt that was originally scheduled to end on 30 Dec 2012, but has now been extended through to 13 Jan 2013.
Cheri Oteri starred on "Saturday Night Live" from 1995 - 2000. She was a third of the so-called "SNL female power trio" that also included Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer. Since leaving "Saturday Night Live," Oteri has appeared in several movies, including "Scary Movie," "Inspector Gadget," "Liar Liar," "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd," "Shrek the Third," "Southland Tales," "Park," "Major Movie Star" and "Surveillance."

The cast of Newsical also features Christine Pedi, Michael West, Tommy Walker, Susan Mosher, Emily McNamara and Ryan Knowles.
Newsical, by Rick Crom, opened at Theatre Row's Kirk Theater on 9 Jan 2011, following previews from 13 Dec 2010, and is currently booking through to 30 Jun 2013.

With songs and material being updated on a regular basis, composer-lyricist Rick Crom's topical musical comedy is an ever-evolving mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof.
Rounding out the creative team are Ed Goldschneider (music director), Jason Courson (set designer), David Kally (costume designer) and Scott Delacruz (stage manager).
The show is produced by Tom D'Angora (Broadway Diva Christmas, Naked Boys Singing!, Divas I've Done) and Elyse Pasquale (Betty Rules).
