New York Theatre Guide at the Opening Night of The Sound Inside on Broadway
The Broadway premiere of The Sound Inside, starring Mary-Louise Parker, continues its limited run at Studio 54 through January 12, 2020.
On Thursday evening, the New York Theatre Guide was on hand to celebrate the official opening of perhaps the most gripping two-hander Broadway has seen in a long, long while, as well as the long overdue Broadway debut of playwright Adam Rapp. We're talking about the Broadway premiere of The Sound Inside, of course, which marks the return of Tony, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker to the New York stage and the first of two theatrical outings for the popular star this season. Ms. Parker is also set to appear for Manhattan Theatre Club in the Broadway premiere of Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece How I Learned to Drive (opposite Tony Award nominee David Morse) at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre from March 27, 2020. But last night it was all about The Sound Inside, reunting Ms. Parker, her co-star Will Hochman and her Tony Award-winning director David Cromer from the play's Williamstown Theatre Festival summer 2018 world premiere on the Great White Way.
