'Mr Marmalade' announces full cast.

Michael C. Hall

Roundabout Theatre Company have announced the full cast for their New York Premiere production of Noah Haidles drama Mr Marmalade, directed by Michael Greif, at the Laura Pels Theatre.

Starring Michael Chernus (George, A Man, Cactus), David Costabile (Bradley), Mamie Gummer (Lucy), Michael C. Hall (Mr Marmalade), Pablo Schreiber (Larry) and Virginia Louise Smit (Sookie, Emily, Sunflower).

Mr Marmalade opens on the 20 Nov 2005, following previews from the 1 Nov. This is a limited engagement through 29 Jan 2006.

The design team for Mr Marmalade includes Allen Moyer (sets), Constance Hoffman (costumes), Kevin Adams (lights) and Michael Friedman (original composition).

In Noah Haidle's new comedy Mr Marmalade, adult behavior is interpreted through the characters Lucy (Mamie Gummer) and Larry (Pablo Schreiber), two very smart children. Lucy has a precocious vocabulary, killer skills in the kitchen, a husband who spends too much time at the office, and she's just four years old! Her imaginary world revolves around a too-busy businessman named Mr. Marmalade (Michael C. Hall) who never has time for the child who adores him.

In his first project following the final season of HBOs acclaimed series Six Feet Under, Michael C. Hall returns to the Roundabout stage. Hall was starring as the "Emcee" in the Tony Award winning revival of Cabaret in October 2000 when he was cast as "David Fisher" on "Six Feet Under." He left the Roundabout production to film the pilot episode and now returns following the fifth and final season of the groundbreaking series that earned him an Emmy nomination and made him a household name.

This will be Virginia Louise Smiths fifth production with Roundabout Theatre Company, where she has appeared previously in Twentieth Century (2004), A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (2003), Tartuffe (2003) and A Flea in her Ear (1998).

Mr Marmalade was commissioned and first produced by South Coast Repertory.
