He'll be back in "The Room Where It Happens"! Miguel Cervantes will be reportedly returning to the titular role in the Broadway production of smash hit musical Hamilton this spring (an exact start date will be announced shortly). Cervantes previously assumed the role on Broadway in July 2016 and he recently closed out the Chicago production. His other Broadway credits include If/Then and Green Day's American Idiot.

The role of Alexander Hamilton is currently being played on Broadway by Ryan Vasquez, who replaced Austin Scott, who recently departed the production to appear in the Broadway premiere of Girl from the North Country at the Belasco Theatre.

The current principal cast of Hamilton also includes Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker (as Aaron Burr), Krystal Joy Brown (as Eliza Hamilton), Mandy Gonzalez (as Angelica Schuyler), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (as Marques de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Nicholas Christopher (as George Washington), Daniel Yearwood (as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Wallace Smith (as James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), Joanna A. Jones (as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), and Tony Award nominee Euan Morton (as King George).

The Broadway production of Hamilton officially opened on August 6, 2015 to excellent reviews, following previews from July 13.

Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow.

Synopsis: "Hamilton is a new musical about the scrappy young immigrant who forever changed America: Alexander Hamilton. From bastard orphan to Washington's right hand man, rebel to war hero, loving husband caught in the country's first sex scandal to Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy, Hamilton is an exploration of a political mastermind. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza Hamilton, and lifelong Hamilton friend and foe, Aaron Burr, all attend this revolutionary tale of America's fiery past told through the sounds of the ever-changing nation we've become."

Under the direction of Thomas Kail, the creative team features music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.

Hamilton is produced on Broadway by The Public Theater, Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman.
