Where are the original 'Hamilton' Broadway cast members now?
In celebration of the blockbuster musical's 10th anniversary and the cast's reunion at the 2025 Tony Awards, take a look at their careers on stage and screen.
A perfect 10. We expect nothing less when the original cast of Hamilton, led by creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, reunites at Radio City Music Hall for the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8. They’re there to celebrate the 10th Broadway anniversary of the blockbuster show, which won 11 Tonys of its own, including Best Musical, at the 2016 ceremony.
Since opening on August 6, 2015, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, the Pulitzer Prize, Grammy, and Tony-winning hip-hop history musical has become a global sensation. The so-called “$10 founding father” Alexander Hamilton, who built America's financial system and fought an infamous duel with Aaron Burr, is now a household name.
The same goes for the original Hamilton Broadway cast, last seen all together in the Emmy-winning film capture of the stage production. Many had already established themselves on stage, but the show did wonders for boosting their profiles further and giving them new opportunities. Turns out there were still a million things the actors hadn’t done, but just you wait.
Read on for a look at what the cast have been up to and where they are now. Plus, tune in to watch them on the 78th annual Tony Awards, broadcast live from 8-11 p.m. E.T. on CBS and Paramount+. Find out how to watch.

Lin-Manuel Miranda
History — and Hollywood — had its eye on Lin-Manuel Miranda, who won Tonys for his Hamilton score and book and is now only an Oscar away from an EGOT. He has since contributed music to several Disney films including Moana, Encanto, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins Returns (which he starred in), and Mufasa: The Lion King.
Miranda made his directorial debut with Netflix’s movie musical tick, tick… BOOM! and produced a film adaptation of his 2008 Best Musical winner In the Heights starring original Hamilton cast member Anthony Ramos.
Following an acting gig in HBO’s His Dark Materials, he teamed up in 2024 with Eisa Davis to release a concept album based on the 1979 film The Warriors. He returned to Broadway earlier this year to act in All In: Comedy About Love.
Leslie Odom Jr.

He hasn’t had to wait for it in terms of movie projects — Odom's credits include Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Harriet, and Murder on the Orient Express. In 2020, he received two Oscar nominations for playing legendary singer Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami…: one for Best Supporting Actor, the other for writing the song “Speak Now.”
Besides releasing four albums — Mr., Simply Christmas, The Christmas Album, and When a Crooner Dies – Odom returned to Broadway to produce and star in 2023's Purlie Victorious, notching Tony nominations for Best Lead Actor and Best Play Revival. Now, Odom returns to Hamilton from September 9 to November 26.

For the 10th anniversary reunion at the Tonys, the Hamilton principals will be joined by the original ensemble, who’ve also gone on to exciting projects since leaving the show at the Richard Rodgers.
