
Morgan Anita Wood to join 'Hamilton' Broadway cast
The actress will make her Broadway debut in the long-running musical after performing in the show in numerous cities across North America for six years.
She's not throwing away her shot! Morgan Anita Wood will join the cast of Hamilton on Broadway beginning July 16 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Wood has performed in Hamilton across North America for the past six years, making her debut in the 2019 Puerto Rico production alongside the show's creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda. She went on to understudy multiple roles and then step into the role of Eliza in Hamilton's national tour, performing in cities including Honolulu, Toronto, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Now, Wood will make her Broadway debut as Eliza, replacing current star Stephanie Jae Park. She joins a cast that also includes Trey Curtis as Alexander Hamilton, Jared Dixon as Aaron Burr, Jennie Harney-Fleming as Angelica Schuyler, Bryson Bruce as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Rubén J. Carbajal as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton, Ebrin R. Stanley as James Madison/Hercules Mulligan, Cherry Torres as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, and Jarrod Spector as King George.
