MCC Theater has announced a 1-week extension for its current New York premiere of The End of Longing, which also marks the New York playwriting and stage acting debut of "Friends" star Matthew Perry.

The End of Longing, directed by Lindsay Posner, began previews at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on May 18, 2017, with an official opening scheduled for June 5. The limited engagement will now run through to July 1, 2017 (instead of June 24).

Synopsis: "An alcoholic, an escort, a self-diagnosed neurotic and a well-intentioned dimwit walk into a bar... Broken and deeply flawed, they find their lives irreversibly entwined no matter how hard they try to break free of one another. The End of Longing is a bittersweet comedy that proves that broken people don't need to stay broken."

The cast of The End of Longing includes Matthew Perry (as Jack), Jennifer Morrison (as Stephanie), Quincy Dunn-Baker (as Jeffrey) and Sue Jean Kim (as Stevie).

The creative team behind The End of Longing features scenic design by Tony and Emmy Award winner Derek McLane, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by 2-time Tony nominee Ben Stanton, and sound design by Ryan Rumery.

The world premiere of The End of Longing was staged in the West End at London's Playhouse Theatre in spring 2016.
