Look Back in Anger: Charlotte Parry joins cast
Charlotte Parry replaces Anastasia Griffith in the role of 'Helena' in the Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming production of John Osborne's Look Back in Anger. Griffiths has withdrawn from the production due to a schedule conflict.
Perry returns to the Roundabout after recently playing 'Cecily' in the company's 2011 Broadway production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' and as 'Nat' in their 2007 Off-Broadway production of 'Howard Katz.'
Parry joins the previously announced Adam Driver (Cliff), Sarah Goldberg (Allison), Charlotte Parry (Helena) and Matthew Rhys (Jimmy).
Dircted by Sam Gold, Look Back in Anger opens at the Laura Pels Theatre on 2 Feb 2012, following previews from 13 Jan 2012, and runs through to 8 Apr 2012.
Look Back in Anger is about four people struggling to live together and love each other in 1950s England.
The design team includes Andrew Lieberman (Sets), David Zinn (Costumes), Mark Barton (Lights), Bray Poor (Sound).
The drama premiered in 1956 at the Royal Court Theatre in London. In 1957, the play opened on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play. Roundabout Theatre Company has a history with Osborne's work, having staged 'Look Back in Anger' (1980), 'Inadmissible Evidence '(1981) and 'The Entertainer' (1982).
