LCT announces cast of War by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins

Lincoln Center Theater has announced complete casting for the LCT3 production of War, written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, which will begins previews at the Claire Tow Theater on 21 May 2016, before an official opening on 6 June and a limited engagement through to 3 July 2016.

The cast of War includes (in alphabetical order) Austin Durant, Reggie Gowland, Chris Myers, Rachel Nicks, Michele Shay, Lance Coadie Williams, and Charlayne Woodard.

Synopsis: "Tensions escalate between Tate (Myers) and Joanne (Nicks) after their mother (Woodard) has a stroke. As they attack each other in their mother's hospital room, they are ambushed by two strangers who make a shocking claim about their grandfather during WWII. With bold theatricality and disarming humor, War follows a fractured family as its members navigate the landmines of the past and try to broker peace with each other - and themselves - in the present."

The creative team behind War features scenic design by Mimi Lien, costume design by Montana Blanco, lighting design by Matt Frey, and sound design by Bray Poor.
