She's the queen of the stage! Kristin Chenoweth will star in the new musical The Queen of Versailles at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre ahead of a planned Broadway transfer. The world-premiere run will take place this summer, from July 16 to August 18.

Chenoweth, best known for her Tony-nominated performance in Wicked and Tony-winning performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, will now play socialite, beauty queen, model, and TV personality Jacqueline “Jackie” Siegel. The Queen of Versailles musical is based on Lauren Greenfield’s award-winning 2012 documentary of the same name, which largely focused on Siegel's life.

The musical reunites Chenoweth with Wicked composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz. He also wrote the score for The Queen of Versailles, and he collaborates with book writer Lindsey Ferrentino and director Michael Arden.

Alongside Chenoweth, the cast also includes Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus) as David Siegel, Melody Butiu (Here Lies Love) as Sofia Flores, and Nina White (Kimberly Akimbo) as Victoria Siegel. Additional casting has yet to be announced.
