Richard H. Blake plays the role of 'Tommy DeVito' from 9 Jan 2014 in the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, Jersey Boys.
Blake assumes the role from Andy Karl who played his final performance on 01 Dec 2013. John Gardiner, who played 'Tommy DeVito' on the national tour, performed the role from 03 Dec 2013 through to 08 Jan 2014.
Blake recently starred in the Broadway musical 'Matilda,' in which he also understudied the roles of 'Miss Trunchbull' and 'Mr. Wormwood.' His other Broadway credits include 'Legally Blonde,' 'The Wedding Singer,' 'Wicked,' 'Hairspray,' 'Aida,' 'Saturday Night Fever,' 'Rent,' 'Prince of Central Park,' 'Macbeth' and 'Teddy & Alice.'
The Broadway cast of Jersey Boys now features Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), Drew Gehling (Bob Gaudio), Peter Gregus (Bob Crewe), Richard H. Blake (Tommy DeVito), Mark Lotito (Gyp DeCarlo) and Dominic Scaglione Jr (Frankie Valli).
*Joseph Leo Bwarie plays the role of 'Franie Valli' at the Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances.

The musical opened on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre on the 6 Nov 2005, following previews from the 4 Oct and is currently booking through to 08 Jun 2014.

Winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, with Orchestrations by Steve Orich and Music Direction, Vocal Arrangements and Incidental Music by Ron Melrose.
