Now you're (still) in New York! The Alicia Keys musical Hell's Kitchen has released a new block of tickets, with seats now available for performances at the Shubert Theatre through May 25, 2025. Get Hell's Kitchen tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
Hell's Kitchen tells the story of 17-year-old Ali, who lives in the title Manhattan neighborhood. As she comes of age, she falls in love (perhaps in the wrong places), navigates her relationship with her protective single mother, and discovers her talent and passion for the piano.
The musical is loosely inspired by Keys's life and it set to her songs, including "Fallin'," "No One," "If I Ain't Got You," and "Empire State of Mind."
On June 16, Hell's Kitchen won Tony Awards for the performances of Maleah Joi Moon as Ali and Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane, her piano teacher. Earlier, the musical had tied with the play Stereophonic for the most Tony Award nominations of the 2023-24 Broadway season, with each show receiving 13 nods. Hell's Kitchen's nominations also included Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Choreography, and performance awards for featured performers Shoshana Bean and Brandon Victor Dixon.
New York Theatre Guide's Hell's Kitchen Broadway review reads, "What emerges [...] is a reminder of Keys' marvelous songwriting talent via her soulful, soaring R&B hits — and Moon's ability to bring down the house with song after song after song."
