Lewis's 40-plus-year Broadway career spans 10 productions. Since making her debut in the original cast of Dreamgirls, she has appeared in shows including Chicago, Children of a Lesser God, Once on This Island, and Ain't Misbehavin'. She won a Tony Award for her performance in Hell's Kitchen.
