The off-Broadway non-profit Public Theater has announced complete casting for its upcoming encore engagement of Tiny Beautiful Things - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" star and Oscar-nominated writer Nia Vardalos's stage adaptation of the Cheryl Strayed novel, which return to the Public this fall. Directed once again by Thomas Kail, previews begin at the Public's Newman Theater on September 19, 2017, before an official opening on October 2, and a limited run through to November 12, 2017.

Joining Ms Vardalos (who reprises he role as "Sugar" - an Online Advice Columnist) on stage will be Teddy Cañez, Ceci Fernandez, DeLance Minefee, Hubert Point-Du Jour and Natalie Woolams-Torres. Ms. Woolams-Torres also returns to the production, having appeared in the 2016 off-Broadway premiere at the Public's Shiva Theater.

Co-Conceived by Marshall Heyman, Thomas Kail & Nia Vardalos, the production originally played an extended limited engagement from November 15 through to December 31, 2016.

Synopsis: "Thousands of people wrote letters asking for advice from an anonymous online columnist named Sugar, who drew from her own life experiences to answer in a candid, often brutally honest exchange. It was later revealed that Sugar was Cheryl Strayed. Nia Vardalos adapts the book, weaving together the real letters to explore the monstrous beauty, unfathomable dark and glimmering light which are at the heart of being human."

The creative team behind Tiny Beautiful Things features scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Jennifer Moeller, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Jill BC Du Boff.
