Frost/Nixon: tickets are now on sale

Tickets are now on sale to the general public (10 Feb 2007), via telecharge, for Frost/Nixon, the new play by Peter Morgan, directed by Michael Grandage, opening on Broadway this spring starring Frank Langella (as President Richard Nixon) and Michael Sheen (as Sir David Frost). The Bernard B. Jacobs Box office opens on 12 Mar 2007

Frost/Nixon, which has received three Olivier Award nominations including Best New Play, opens on Broadway on 22 Apr 2007 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, following previews from 31 Mar and running through to 19 Aug 2007. This is a limited engagement for 20 weeks only.

Frost/Nixon tackles the question: How did David Frost, a famous British talk-show host with a playboy reputation, elicit the apology that the rest of the world was waiting to hear from former President Richard Nixon? The fast-paced new play shows the determination, conviction and cunning of two men as they square off in one of the most monumental political interviews of all time.

In addition to Langella and Sheen, the cast features Remy Auberjonois (John Birt); Shira Gregory (Evonne Goolagong); Corey Johnson (Jack Brennan); Stephen Kunken (Jim Reston); Stephen Rowe (Swifty Lazar/Mike Wallace); Triney Sandoval (Manolo Sanchez); Armand Schultz (Bob Zelnick); Sonya Walger (Caroline Cushing).

Designs for Frost/Nixon are by Christopher Oram, with lighting by Neil Austin, and the music & sound score by Adam Cork. Video design is by Jon Driscoll.

Frost/Nixon will be produced on Broadway by Matthew Byam Shaw, Arielle Tepper Madover, Robert Fox and Act Productions.
