Damascus, part of Brits Off Broadway, postpones previews

Due to a Visa processing delay, the first two performances of David Greigs Damascus, part of 59E59 Theaters' Brits off-Broadway festival, have been postponed.

Damascus will now begin previews at the 59E59's Theater A on 8 May 2008 and open on 14 May 2008. Ticket holders for the cancelled 6 & 7 May performances can call their point-of-purchase to re-book their tickets.

Presented by the Traverse Theatre Company, Damascus is about an English language textbook salesman on assignment to the oldest continuously inhabited city on earth, who finds himself grappling with language and love, meanings and misunderstandings.

Directed by Philip Howard, Damascus features Ewen Bremner, Nathalie Armin, Alex Elliott, Dolya Gavanski and Khalid Laith.

The creative team comprises Anthony MacIlwaine (sets & costumes), Chahine Yavroyan (lighting) and Graham Sutherland (sound).
