Conversations In Tusculum extends by one week


The Public Theater has announced that Conversations In Tusculum will extend its run by one week only, and will now play through to 30 Mar 2008.

The world premiere of Conversations In Tusculum, written and directed by Richard Nelson, opened at the Public's Anspacher Theater on 11 Mar 2008, following previews from 19 Feb and was originally schedlued to close on 23 Mar 2008.

Conversations In Tusculum: The country you love and the values it represents are being destroyed by a misguided leader. You can continue to live in relative comfort by not involving yourself, or you can take action to save the democracy you love. Set outside of Rome in the villas and hillsides of Tusculum, the play chronicles those entangled in Julius Caesar�s world of manipulation and power.

The play features Brian Dennehy (Cicero), Joe Grifasi (Syrus), Gloria Reuben (Porcia), David Strathairn (Cassius), Maria Tucci (Servilia) and Aidan Quinn (Brutus).

The creative team comprises Thomas Lynch (sets), Susan Hilferty (costumes), Jennifer Tipton (lighting) and John Gromada (sound).
