Conrad Ricamora to star as Seymour in 'Little Shop of Horrors' off Broadway
Ricamora will follow Jeremy Jordan in the leading role.
Suddenly...Conrad! Stage and screen star Conrad Ricamora will play Seymour in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theatre from January 11, 2022. He will take over the role from Jeremy Jordan, who will play his final performance on January 9.
Ricamora is best known for his TV roles as Oliver Hampton on How To Get Away With Murder and Dr. Jake Wong on The Resident. He has also appeared in several New York theatre shows, including the 2015 Broadway revival of The King and I as Lun Tha as well as two Public Theater productions: Here Lies Love in the lead role of Ninoy Aquino, and Soft Power as Xūe Xíng. He received a Theatre World Award and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Here Lies Love, and Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominations for Soft Power.
Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour, a hapless plant shop worker who finds and tends to a mysterious plant. When he discovers the plant's taste for human blood, Seymour is torn between his morals and the plant's promise to grant him everything his heart desires. The Westside Theatre revival opened in 2019 with Jonathan Groff in the title role alongside Tammy Blanchard and Christian Borle, both of whom are still in the cast.
