Colin Quinn The New York Story at the Cherry Lane

A new comedy Colin Quinn The New York Story written by and starring Colin Quinn will run off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre from 9 July to 16 August 2015, with an official opening on 23 July 2015.

The comedy will be directed by Jerry Seinfeld and is presented by Brian Stern, Mike Lavoie and Mike Berkowitzand.

In Colin Quinn The New York Story Colin bemoans the rise and fall of his hometown, the city formally known as NY from its modest beginnings as Dutch outpost to the hipsters of modern Williamsburg to the vermin below and above ground. Quinn is once again at his satirical best, taking aim at the prejudices, paranoias and peculiaritie that make New York City the crossroads of the world.

The production will have set designs by James Fauvell, costume designs by Alexis Forte, and lighting design by Sarah Lurie.

Colin Quinn is a stand up comedian from Brooklyn. His credits range from MTV's "Remote Control" to SNL to Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd". He's been on Broadway with 'Irish Wake' and 'Colin Quinn Long Story Short'. This new production is based on his first and last book, 'The Coloring Book'.
