And the chaos continues... Casting is now complete for the off-Broadway transfer of the hit comedy The Play That Goes Wrong which, as previously announced, is set to begin previews at New World Stages on February 11 and officially re-open on February 20, 2019.

The cast includes Ryan Vincent Anderson (as Trevor), Brent Bateman (as Robert), Bartley Booz (as Dennis), Matt Harrington (as Chris), Bianca Horn (as Annie), Chris Lanceley (as Jonathan), Ashley Reyes (as Sandra), and Matt Walker (as Max), alongside Damien BrettAdam DavelineSimone Policano, and Maggie Weston.

Mischief Theatre co-founder and co-writer Henry Lewis commented on the casting news: "The new cast is the best one yet, it contains an actor who shows some promise and we hope his parole officer changes her mind and allows him to go on. I'm told the actors are being paid in fruit - which is certainly interesting."

Producer Kevin McCollum added that "the fruit is all pre-washed," whilst producer J.J. Abrams merely stated: "I haven't seen the show, but absolutely have no plans to see it."

The Play That Goes Wrong played its final Broadway performance at the Lyceum Theatre on January 6, 2019, after a total of 745 performances. It holds the record as the second longest-running show in the history of the Lyceum Theatre and the production also won the Tony Award for "Best Scenic Design of a Play" in 2017.

Winner of the 2015 Olivier Award for "Best New Comedy," The Play That Goes Wrong is co-written by Mischief Theatre company members and original West End and Broadway stars Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields.

Synopsis: "The Play That Goes Wrong is a riotous comedy about the theatre. The play introduces "The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society" who are attempting to put on a 1920s' murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong...does, as the accident prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call."

The off-Broadway production of The Play That Goes Wrong is directed by Matt DiCarlo, based on the Broadway direction by Mark Bell, and the creative team features scenic design by Tony Award winner Nigel Hook, costume design by Roberto Surace, lighting design by Jeremy Cunningham, and sound design by Beth Lake.

The Play That Goes Wrong Tickets are available now for performances from February 11 through to November 24, 2019.
