Buyer & Cellar to transfer to Barrow Street Theatre

Jonathan Tolins comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty"), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre.

The comedy will open at the Barrow Street on 24 Jun 2013, following previews from 18 Jun 2013, and play a ten-week engagement through to 01 Sep 2013.

Buyer & Cellar opened 03 Apr 2013 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (where it currently plays through to 12 May 2013) and has received nominations for 2013 Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle, and Drama League awards.

Alex More has a story to tell. A struggling actor in L.A., Alex takes a job working in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like real bonding in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? Buyer & Cellar is a comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.

The show features set design by Andrew Boyce, costumes by Jessica Pabst, lighting by Eric Southern and sound by Stowe Nelson.
