Broadway is Back Free concert to celebrate the return of the Great White Way


After nineteen days of industrial action, which saw most of Broadway's shows closed, and Broadway -the Great White Way- almost totally dark, the theatre community is in celebratary mood. To mark the occasion The League of American Theatres and Producers are staging a free concert at the Marquis Theatre on 30 Nov 2007 at noon.

The event will include performances and special appearances by cast members from all current Broadway shows, many in costume.

There will also be special performances by Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters, Fantasia, the Tony Award-winning creator of The Drowsy Chaperone, Bob Martin, and others. (Performances and appearances are subject to change)

The concert will feature a full concert led by Seth Rudetsky.

The doors will open at the Marquis Theatre at 11:30am, for a 12pm (noon) curtain rise
