Admissions extends off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater
Joshua Harmon's new drama will now play its final performance on May 6, 2018 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.
Lincoln Center Theater has announced a 1-week extension for its current production of Joshua Harmon's new play Admissions, directed by Daniel Aukin, which began previews at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater on February 15, 2018, officially opened on March 12 and will now play its final performance on May 6, 2018 (instead of April 29).
Synopsis: "Sherri Rosen-Mason is head of the admissions department at The Hillcrest School, fighting to diversify the student body. And alongside her husband, the school's Headmaster, they've largely succeeded in bringing a stodgy institution into the twenty-first century. But when their only son sets his sights on an Ivy League university, personal ambition collides with progressive values, with convulsive results. Admissions is a new play that explodes the ideals and contradictions of liberal white America."
The cast of Admissions includes Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (as Sherri Rosen-Mason), alongside Ben Edelman (as Charlie Luther Mason), Andrew Garman (as Bill Mason), Ann McDonough (as Roberta), and Sally Murphy (as Ginnie Peters).
The creative team behind Admissions features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Mark Barton, and sound design by Ryan Rumery.
Lincoln Center Theater is also currently presenting the Broadway revival of Lerner & Loewe's classic musical My Fair Lady at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, currently booking through to January 6, 2019, as well as the LCT3 production of Martyna Majok's queens at the Claire Tow Theater through to March 25.
Admissions Tickets are available now for performances through to May 6, 2018.
