The Claire Tow Theater is named in honor of the wife of longtime Lincoln Center Theater board member Leonard Tow. The theatre is located on the roof of the building housing Broadway's Vivian Beaumont Theater and the Off-Broadway Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, all of which are owned and operated by Lincoln Center Theater. The Tow is LCT's newest space, having opened to the public in 2012.
The 112-seat venue is the current home of LCT3, a programming initiative designed to nurture the work of emerging playwrights and directors.
