
Michael Patrick Thornton stars as Lucky in Waiting for Godot on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre from September 13, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
Thornton received a Callaway Award for his 2023 Broadway performance as Dr. Rank in A Doll's House starring Jessica Chastain and staged by Waiting for Godot director Jamie Lloyd. A year earlier, he made his Broadway debut as Lennox in Macbeth starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga. In Godot, he stars opposite Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
He is also a well-known actor in Chicago theatre, winning the city's prestigious Jeff Award for his solo performance in The Good Thief and earning a nomination for Suicide, Incorporated.
Thornton's screen credits include Private Practice (as Dr. Fife), Madam Secretary, and The Good Doctor.
