Keri Lynn Russell was born on March 23, 1976 in Fountain Valley, California, and is a Golden Globe-winning actress known for her prolific career in television and film. She has held starring roles in series such as WB's Felicity and FX's The Americans and in movies such as WaitressMission: Impossible IIIAugust Rush, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Russell spent her formative years moving around the States due to her father's work as a Nissan Motors executive, spending time in Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. Her first break in the entertainment industry came at 15 years old after earning a spot on Disney Channel's All-New Mickey Mouse Club from 1991 to 1994. She made her feature film debut as Mandy in Honey I Blew Up the Kid in 1992. Throughout the 90's she featured in guest roles in shows such as Boy Meets WorldDaddy's Girls, and Married With Children, and a recurring role as Chloe Walker in the short-lived 1996 soap opera Malibu Shores. She then shot to fame in 1998 after being cast as the titular character of Felicity Porter on the hit WB Network series Felicity and would go on to star in a total of 84 episodes through 2002, winning a Golden Globe in 1999 in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama.

During her time on Felicity, Russell also starred in a number of films, including Eight Days a WeekThe CurveMad About Mambo, and We Were Soldiers.

After Felicity went off the air, Russell moved to New York City and officially made her Off-Broadway debut in the MCC Theater production of Neil LaBute's Fat Pigs, which ran from November 2004 to February 2005 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

She also featured in a number of high-profile Hollywood movies in the following years, including the roles of Lindsey Farris in Mission: Impossible III in 2006, Jenna Hunterson in Waitress (the source material for the same-named Broadway musical) and Lyla Novacek in August Rush in 2007, Jill in Bedtime Stories in 2008, as the titular character in the 2009 animated movie Wonder Woman, and Aileen Crowley in Extraordinary Measures in 2010.

Russell's next big TV role would be Emmy Kadubic in the Fox series Running Wilde from 2010 to 2011, which was followed by perhaps her most iconic role as Elizabeth Jennings in the popular FX drama series The Americans. She starred in a total of 75 episodes from 2013 to 2018 and earned three consecutive Emmy Award nominations in 2016, 2017, and 2018 alongside two Golden Globe nominations in 2017 and 2019. Her other major film credits include the roles of Jane Hayes in Austenland and Lacy Barrett in Dark Skies in 2013, Ellie in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in 2014, Serena in Free State of Jones in 2016, and Zorri Bliss in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.

Russell made her Broadway debut as Anna Mann in the first-ever Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson's Burn This at the Hudson Theatre from March 15 through July 14, 2019.
