Jurnee Smollett stars in Whoopi Goldberg's The Whoopi Monologues off Broadway at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater from August 4-30, 2026.
Smollett is best known for her Emmy and SAG Award-nominated performance as Letitia "Leti" Lewis in HBO's Lovecraft Country. Additional screen credits include the movies Eve's Bayou (Critics' Choice Movie Award) and Birds of Prey and the TV shows Friday Night Lights and True Blood.
On stage, Smollett performed in a 2014 L.A. production of Horton Foote’s The Trip To Bountiful opposite Cicely Tyson, Vanessa Williams, and Blair Underwood.
