Chuck Cooper plays Captain E.J. Smith in the Encores! production of Titanic at New York City Center from June 12-23, 2024.
Cooper is a Tony Award-winning actor for playing Memphis in The Life in 1997. He was nominated again in 2022 for playing Sheldon Forrester in Trouble in Mind. His numerous other Broadway credits include Choir Boy, Romeo and Juliet, Passion, Caroline, or Change, and Chicago.
Cooper is the father of Eddie Cooper, with whom he stars in Titanic, and Tony nominee Lilli Cooper.
