Brendan Fraser won the 2023 Academy Award for Best Actor for starring in director Darren Aronofsky's film adaptation of the play The Whale by Samuel D. Hunter, who also wrote Grangeville.
Fraser is also best known for starring in George of the Jungle, Crash, and the Mummy franchise. He made his Broadway debut in 2010's Elling.
