York Theatre Company has announced casting for its upcoming world premiere of musical comedy Christmas In Hell, directed and choreographed by Bill Castellino, which is set for an official opening on December 13, 2018, following previews from December 4, and will play a limited engagement through to December 30, 2018.
The eight-member cast includes Scott Ahearn (as Richard), Donna English (as Mrs. Huvey), Lori Hammel (as Galiana), Elijah Rayman (as Davin), Zak Risinger (as Carl), Brandon Williams (as Lucifer), Dathan B. Williams (as Detective Zanderhoff), and Ron Wisniski (as Principal Bolton).
Christmas In Hell features a book, music & lyrics by Gary Apple and is rated PG13 (for explicit language).
Synopsis: "Looking for a sweet, wholesome holiday musical? Well, this ain’t it! On Christmas Eve, little 6-year-old Davin is mistakenly taken down to Hell. When he returns, not only has he missed Christmas, but he is devilishly changed. To set things right, his father embarks on a bizarre odyssey that eventually leads him down to Hell itself where he makes a wager with Lucifer he can’t possibly win. Christmas in Hell is a wild, irreverent and surprisingly touching musical comedy about the absurd lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love."
The creative team features music direction, music supervision & arrangements by Logan Medland, scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by Tyler M. Holland, lighting design by Yael Lubetzky, sound design by Julian Evans, and props design by Zach Serafin.
Christmas in Hell is produced off-Broadway by York Theatre Company in association with Xmas in Hell LLC, La Vie Productions, and Yelena Raykhman.
