Twelfth Night: Shakespeare in the Park production announces full cast

The Public Theater will begin previews on 10 Jun 2009 for the Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

Charles Borland, Andrew Crowe, Steve Curtis, Christopher Layer, Robin LeMon and Julie Sharbutt have joined the cast.

The complete cast includes the previously announced Michael Cumpsty, Clifton Duncan, Ra�l Esparza, Herb Foster, Leslie Harrison, Anne Hathaway, Slate Holmgren, Kevin Kelly, David Kenner, Hamish Linklater, Dorien Makhloghi, Audra McDonald, David Pittu, Ray Rizzo, Jay O. Sanders, Stark Sands, Baylen Thomas, Zach Villa, Jon Patrick Walker and Julie White.

Twelfth Night will open at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on 25 Jun 2009, following previews from 10 Jun and running through to 12 Jul 2009.

Twelfth Night, one of Shakespeare�s most beloved romantic comedies, is a time-honored story of cross-dressing and mistaken identity that follows the romantic adventures of Viola and her identical twin Sebastian, both shipwrecked in the enchanted dukedom of Illyria.

The production will feature original music by symphonic folk-rock band Hem.

The second Shakespeare in the Park production will be Euripides�s The Bacchae, translated by Nicholas Rudall, directed by JoAnne Akalaitis, and featuring original music by Philip Glass. The Bacchae's will run from 11 - 30 Aug 2009.
