Steve Rosen and David Rossmer's multi-award-winning and critically-acclaimed musical comedy The Other Josh Cohen will now close a litter earlier than expected. Although the limited off-Broadway return engagement was originally intended to run through to February 24, 2019, it was then extended to April 28, 2019. The production will now play its final performance off-Broadway on April 7, 2019, and a National Tour has been announced for 2020.

Producers Suzanne Gilad & Larry Rogowsky commented: "Producing The Other Josh Cohen has been the joy of a lifetime - and having it be such a successful engagement at The Westside Theatre is the cherry on top! Due to exciting but unavoidable scheduling conflicts for our brilliant and unsurprisingly in-demand authors & stars, we've slightly adjusted the final date of our extension so that they can lead our final month together on stage. We are proud and beyond excited about the future for all our boys - Steve Rosen, David Rossmer, and especially Josh Cohen, whom you'll be hearing more about very soon!"

Previews began at the Westside Theatre Downstairs on October 26, 2018, ahead of an official opening on November 12.

The Other Josh Cohen features a book, music & lyrics by Steve Rosen and David Rossmer and is directed by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster.

Synopsis: "Josh Cohen just can't get a break. He's single, broke and to top it all off, his apartment's been robbed of everything but a Neil Diamond CD. Soon, though, his luck takes a turn when a mysterious envelope arrives that changes his life forever."

Appearing on stage alongside Steve Rosen and David Rossmer (in the title roles) are Jane Bruce, Cathryn Wake, Elizabeth Nestlerode, Luke Darnell, Louis Tucci, Zach Spound, and Megan Loomis.

The creative team features scenic design by Carolyn Mraz, costume design by Nikki Moody, lighting design by Tony Award winner Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Bart Fasbender.

The Other Josh Cohen began its life at New York Musical Festival before celebrating its off-Broadway premiere at the SoHo Playhouse in 2012, presented by Amas Musical Theatre. The musical was nominated for a total of six Drama Desk Awards, as well as the Lucille Lortel Award for "Outstanding Musical". Since then, it has been staged at the popular Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey in February 2014 and, more recently, at the Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, New York, in January 2018.

The Other Josh Cohen Tickets are available now for performances through to April 7, 2019.
