Reneé Rapp will star as Regina George in Mean Girls on Broadway
Taylor Louderman is scheduled to play her final performance as Regina George on September 8, 2019.
She's kind of a big deal! 2018 Jimmy Award winner Reneé Rapp will star as Regina George in the hit Broadway musical Mean Girls! She will make her Broadway debut at the August Wilson Theatre from June 7 to June 26, whilst current star and Tony Award nominee Taylor Louderman goes on a brief leave of absence, and she will then assume the role full-time from September 10, 2019. Ms. Louderman's final performance is scheduled for September 8.
Mean Girls scribe Tina Fey commented: “It's hard to imagine anyone can replace the great Taylor Louderman, but just like high school, when one Queen Bee graduates, a new one spreads her wings. I think Reneé Rapp has everything it takes to thrill and terrify us all! I can't wait to see her do this.”
The principal cast of Mean Girls currently includes Erika Henningsen (as Cady Heron), Tony Award nominee Taylor Louderman (as Regina George), Krystina Labado (as Gretchen Wieners), Kate Rockwell (as Karen Smith), Barrett Wilbert Weed (as Janis Sarkisian), Tony Award nominee Grey Henson (as Damian Hubbard), Tony Award nominee Jennifer Simard (as Ms. Norbury), Kyle Selig (as Aaron Samuels), Cheech Manohar (as Kevin Gnapoor), and Rick Younger (as Mr. Duvall).

When Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung."
