Psycho Therapy to play a return engagement

The world premiere production of Frank Strausser's comedy Psycho Therapy, which recently ended its six week run at the Cherry Lane Theatre, is to play a return engagement from 8 Apr - 26 May 2012.

The show, directed by Michael Bush, will see Jan Leslie Harding and Laurece Lau reprise their roles as 'Nancy Winston' and 'Phillip,' respectively.

They will be joined by newcomers Alexander Cendese (A View from the Bridge) and Gabrielle Miller (Corner Gas) as 'Dorian' and 'Lilly.' They replace original cast members Jeffrey Carlson and Angelica Page who cannot return to the production due to prior commitments.

Psycho Therapy: Lily's fiancée Phillip blows off couples therapy and Dorian, her hot young ex-boyfriend, jumps in to fill the void. When the trio ends up on the couch together, only therapist Nancy Winston can untangle the kinks.

The creative team features sets by Michael V. Moore, lighting by Jeff Croiter, costumes by Amanda Bujak and sound by Amy Altadonna.

Psycho Therapy originally played at the Cherry Labe Theatre from 17 Jan - 25 Feb 2012.

The production opened to mixed reviews: An unexpected pleasure! (newyorktheatreguide.com); More entertaining than it ought to be. (NY Times); Quickly dwindles into laugh-free tedium (Newsroom Jersey).

The show is produced Off-Broadway by Barbara Ligeti and Wishing Well Productions, in special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre.
