LBJ is back on the Great White Way! Last night, the New York Theatre Guide headed to Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater to celebrate the official opening of The Great Society. Following on from playwright Robert Schenkkan's 2014 Tony Award-winning "Best Play" All The Way, starring Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon Baines Johnson, this second chapter in "The LBJ Plays" sees Emmy Award winner Brian Cox taking the baton and portraying LBJ's mighty attempts to build The Great Society in the midst of the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam era. But the themes of this play are more relevant than you could possibly imagine, when it comes to today's American society.

Read our full review of the production here.

Following the performance, we caught up with the man of the hour, as well as his fellow cast mates, playwright Robert Schenkkan and director Bill Rauch at the official after party at Redeye Grill on 7th Avenue in Manhattan. Check out our "New York Theatre Guide to... The Great Society!" video to find out what they had to say...

The Great Society Tickets are available now for performances through November 30, 2019.
