Michele Pawk to star in Heroes of the Fourth Turning at Playwrights Horizons
The world premiere of Heroes of the Fourth Turning is set to begin performances at Playwrights Horizons on September 13, 2019.
Casting has now been announced for the upcoming world premiere of Heroes of the Fourth Turning, written by Will Arbery and directed by Danya Taymor, which is scheduled to play the Mainstage Theater at Playwrights Horizons from September 13 through October 27, 2019, with an official opening set for October 7.
The cast includes Jeb Kreager (as Justin), Julia McDermott (as Emily), Tony Award winner Michele Pawk (as Gina), Zoë Winters (as Teresa), and John Zdrojeski (as Kevin).
Synopsis: "It’s nearing midnight in Wyoming, where four young conservatives have gathered at a backyard after-party. They’ve returned home to toast their mentor Gina, newly inducted as president of a tiny Catholic college. But as their reunion spirals into spiritual chaos and clashing generational politics, it becomes less a celebration than a vicious fight to be understood. On a chilly night in the middle of America, Will Arbery’s haunting play offers grace and disarming clarity, speaking to the heart of a country at war with itself."
The creative team behind Heroes of the Fourth Turning has also been announced and features scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Justin Ellington, and fight direction by J. David Brimmer.
