Marlo Thomas to headline Joe DiPietro's Clever Little Lies

It has been announced that Marlo Thomas will star in Joe DiPietro's Clever Little Lies at the Westside Theatre, which runs from 18 September to 3 January 2016, with an official opening on 14 October 2015.

"A mother always knows when something is wrong. When Alice notices her beloved husband Bill has returned home on edge after a tennis match with their son, she grows suspicious and springs into action. Determined to piece together the puzzle, she invites her son and daughter-in-law over for drinks and dessert."

The production will be directed by David Saint, with full cast and creative to be announced.

Marlo Thomas (Alice) most recently starred on Broadway in Elaine May's 'George is Dead', in the 'Relatively Speaking' trilogy. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame; and in 2014, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her TV credits include "That Girl" and "Free to Be...You and Me" which became a platinum album, best-selling book and Emmy Award-winning television special.

DiPietro's drama made its world premiere at George Street Playhouse in 2013 and ran last summer at Guild Hall.
