Classic Stage Company has now confirmed complete casting to join previously announced four-time Tony Award nominee Raúl Esparza in the forthcoming revival of Bertolt Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, which begins previews at its off-Broadway home on October 30, 2018, ahead of an official opening on November 14 and a limited engagement through to December 22, 2018.

Alongside Mr. Esparza in the title role will be (in alphabetical order) George Abud (as Clark), Eddie Cooper (as Roma), Tony Award nominee Elizabeth A. Davis (as Giri), Christopher Gurr (as Dogsborough), Omoze Idehenre (as Mrs. Dullfleet), Mahira Kakkar (as Flake/Dockdaisy), and Thom Sesma (as Gisola).

Classic Stage Company's Artistic Director John Doyle helms the new production of Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Artuto Ui, translated by George Tabori.

Synopsis: "In 1930s Chicago, mobster Arturo Ui will stop at nothing to control the cauliflower trade. Terror and bloodshed follow. Can anyone stop him? Brecht’s skewering of Adolf Hitler and totalitarianism is given renewed significance in a new Classic Stage Company production. Written in 1941, the play was one of the Berliner Ensemble’s greatest box office successes."

The creative team behind The Resistible Rise of Artuto Ui has also been announced and features costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, lighting design by Jane Cox and Tess James, and sound design by Matt Stine.

Raúl Esparza made his Broadway debut as Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show in 2000 and earned Tony Award nominations for his performances in Taboo (2004), Company (2007), The Homecoming (2008), and Speed-the-Plow (2009). He is perhaps best known for his TV role as Rafael Barba on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".

The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui Tickets are available now for performances from October 30 through to December 22, 2018.
