Ahead of tonight's official opening of Latin History for Morons at Studio 54, official production photos of the Broadway transfer have been released. Tony Award & Golden Globe nominee and Emmy Award winner John Leguizamo's latest one-man comedic show is directed by Tony Taccone and is scheduled to play a limited engagement through to February 4, 2018.

Synopsis: "In Latin History for Morons, John Leguizamo schools his son—and the rest of us—on the buried and forgotten history of Latinos in the Americas in this outrageously funny, satirical one-man play about uncovering the truth, and recovering from the past. Inspired by the near total absence of Latinos in his son's American history class, Leguizamo embarks on a frenzied search to find a Latin hero for his son's school project. From a mad recap of the Aztec empire to stories of unknown Latin patriots of the Revolutionary War and beyond, Leguizamo breaks down the 3,000 years between the Mayans and Ricky Ricardo into 95 irreverent and uncensored minutes in his trademark style."

The creative team behind Latin History for Morons features scenic design by Rachel Hauck, lighting design by Alexander V. Nichols, and sound design by Bray Poor.

Latin History for Morons is produced on Broadway by Nelle Nugent, Kenneth Teaton, The Public Theater and Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

John Leguizamo earned Tony nominations for both his writing and performance in 'Freak' in 1998. He received a Drama Desk Award for 'Freak,' along with a second Drama Desk award for 'Ghetto Klown' in 2011 and a Drama Desk nomination for 'Spic-O-Rama' (at Westside Theatre) in 1993. Other Broadway credits include 'Sexaholix' and 'American Buffalo.' He also appeared at The Public Theater in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'La Puta Vida Trilogy' in 1987. He earned an Emmy Award in 1999 for the TV broadcast of 'Freak' and was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1996 for 'To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.' Other notable screen credits include Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" and "Moulin Rouge!," as well as "Carlito's Way," "Kick-Ass 2," "The Honeymooners," and "Righteous Kill." Leguizamo also voices the role of Sid in the "Ice Age" movie franchise.

Latin Histor for Morons Tickets are available now for performances through to February 4, 2018.
