The name on everybody's lips is gonna be Bianca, again! Bianca Marroquín will return to star as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway from June 21. She replaces Emma Pittman, the "Search for Roxie" contest winner making her Broadway debut in the role; her final performance is June 19.

Marroquín has played Roxie on and off in the U.S. and Mexico for the past 20 years, beginning with a Mexico City production of Chicago in 2002. She first played Roxie on Broadway that year, too. In 2021, she was part of the Broadway reopening cast following the pandemic shutdown, this time making her debut as Velma Kelly. Marroquín became one of only a few women to have played both leading roles, alongside Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, and Ruthie Henshall.

In the style of a 1920s vaudeville show, Chicago tells the story of two murderesses, Roxie and Velma, whose only hope of getting acquitted is charming the sensationalized press and the jury. They vie for the attention of the suave lawyer Billy Flynn, who teaches them the art of "razzle dazzle" to win public favor.

The musical is at the Ambassador Theatre and just celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021; it is the longest-running musical revival and second-longest-running Broadway show of all time.
