After Nathan Lane and Savion Glover performed at St James Theatre, events on Broadway are now becoming more commonplace. Recently, Amber Iman sung at a one-off concert at the Broadway Theatre as part of NY PopsUp, now in its seventh week.

Amber Iman is best known for starring in Shuffle Along... at the Music Box Theatre alongside Audra McDonald, Billy Porter and Adrienne Warren. During her set, she sung "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", "Party in the USA" and "Imagine". Fellow audience members were from Broadway shows including Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations, Chicago, Come From Away, Hamilton, Jagged Little Pill, Dear Evan Hansen, Diana The Musical, Moulin Rouge!, Wicked, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical and The Book of Mormon.

The Broadway Theatre is now the second theatre to reopen its doors since the pandemic, with the Music Box Theatre to hold an event later this month. Details of future performances of West Side Story at the Broadway Theatre are to be confirmed.

Launching earlier this year, NY PopsUp is a state-wide initiative including over 1000 live performances, encouraging people to reunite with the arts across the state. Both Broadway and off-Broadway venues are opening, including The Apollo, Park Avenue Armory and St. Ann's Warehouse.
