Wildflower at the McGinn Cazale Theatre

Second Stage Theatre will present Lila Rose Kaplan's Wildflower, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, as part of the company's seventh annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series, opening at the McGinn Cazale Theatre on 30 Jul 2009, following previews from 13 Jul and running through to 8 Aug 2009.

Wildflower: A woman and her troubled son look to escape their past in Crested Butte, a small town with its own share of secrets. They encounter a curious girl, a forest ranger, and an ex-drag queen. The five collide in a summer of botany and sexual awakening.

Kaplan recently received her MFA in Playwriting from University of California, San Diego, and has had her plays developed by several prominent regional theatres, including The Kennedy Center and Arena Stage.
